Consumer goods giant Unilever has sold its Russian business, it was confirmed on Thursday, bringing to an end its presence in the country.

Unilever has sold its Russian subsidiary to local manufacturer Arnest Group, exiting the country more than two-and-a-half years after its invasion of Ukraine. The maker of Dove soap and Knorr stock cubes said the sale includes all of Unilever’s business in the country, including its four factories there, as well as its unit in Belarus.

Unilever has said that it has divested its Russian business as it leaves the country more than two-and-a-half years into the Russia-Ukraine war. The company has already stayed in Russia much longer than several of its peers.
