VIDEO: Snowboarder outruns avalanche triggered by human activity
The avalanche, which was triggered by human activity, was captured on a webcam. Initially, the event was difficult to discern from a distance, but as the camera zoomed in, the snowboarder could be seen outrunning the cascading snow. Fortunately, the Mount Washington Observatory reported that no one was injured in the incident.
A skier on Tuckerman Ravine was swept 200 feet downhill before self-arresting above some spicy terrain.
