Hope, a member of the supergroup BTS, was discharged from South Korea's military on Thursday after 18 months of duty, sparking enthusiasm among fans and investors for a potential reunion of the boy band next year.

Jin, who was the first member to enlist in the South Korean military, has completed his military service. Six BTS members are currently enlisted in the South Korean army with J-Hope set to be discharged soon.

Earlier this week, BTS agency BigHit Music urged BTS fans not to gather outside the military base. Despite this, a sea of fans showed up to catch a glimpse of J-Hope.
