Harold had executed this play countless times during his football career. Facing a one-on-one situation, he lowered his shoulder, prepared to make an open-field tackle on a simple crossing route thrown to UCLA's Michael Sturdivant.

Perkins was limited to four games as a junior in 2024 after suffering a season-ending knee injury against UCLA in a 34-17 victory on Sept. 21. Prior to that point, he had 17 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery.
