The 50th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) recognized artists across 20 film categories during its star-studded "Gabi ng Parangal" event at Solaire Resort's Grand Ballroom on Dec. 27.

Green Bones, produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, won the highly-coveted 1st Best Picture award at the MMFF 50 Gabi ng Parangal. Starring Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, Green Bones tells the story of prisoner Domingo Zamora and his prison guard Xavier Gonzaga.
