Brits have been told to brace for freezing temperatures by the Met Office, as Storm Claudia moves down south and brings icy and snowy conditions with temperatures as low as -7 degrees C
The Met Office has issued its latest weather forecast for next week, and the aftermath of Storm Claudia could bring with it a snowy few days. The UK was recently battered by Storm Claudia, which caused disruption on road and rail, along with significant flooding across the country.
BBC doesn’t mention snowfall in its UK forecast for Sunday to Tuesday. It said: ‘Monday will see bright and sunny conditions for much of the UK, with just a few showers in the north. Cloudier and wet in Northern Ireland. Tuesday will see scattered showers, wintry for many in the north.’
Heavy rain has been forecast across Shropshire as Storm Claudia sweeps in, with warnings of travel disruption and winds exceeding 40mph.
