After a first quarter that was competitive with both teams tied 21-21, the Nets lost to the Clippers 126-67. Jalen Wilson had one of his best games in quite some time as he put up 16 points and three rebounds while Day'Ron Sharpe took advantage of the extra playing time to the tune of 12 points and 14 rebounds off the bench.

Many expected the Brooklyn Nets to have a clear tanking agenda entering Tuesday’s matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers. As has been the case for most of this season, Cam Johnson had a different one.

Cam Johnson and D’Angelo Russell returned Tuesday night for the decimated Nets, though Nic Claxton got added to their long injury list. Brooklyn had been winless in the five straight games that Johnson had missed with a right ankle sprain.

Watford has missed a lot of time lately after receiving ample playing time. He was averaging 8.2 points and 2.8 rebounds for the Nets. Johnson, who was involved in the 2023 trade that landed Deandre Ayton from Phoenix, is averaging 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds.

For the game, the Nets could get one of their best players back in action, as D'Angelo Russell is listed as questionable on the injury report. The 2019 NBA All-Star has missed each of the previous four games.
