On Tuesday at 11:35 a.m. an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 4 p.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon.

A University of Oregon student was transported to a local hospital after a tree fell on them near University Hall Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind advisory and a flood watch for parts of Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington.

At noon, the National Weather Service issued wind advisories through 4 a.m. Tuesday in Portland and cities as far south as Eugene. High wind warnings are in effect along most of the Oregon coast, where gusts could reach up to 55 mph in Astoria and 58 mph in Lincoln City.

From the Oregon Coast to the Cascades, Monday’s forecast calls for numerous rain showers, windy conditions and a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Monday and Tuesday’s daytime highs look to hang out in the mid-50s up and down the Willamette Valley.
