The lawyer of the deaf and disabled man who was seen being hit by Phoenix Police officers in body camera footage is speaking out. "It's very odd to ask for people to be patient when the justice system is not patient with Tyron.

Tyron McAlpin, a black man who is deaf and has cerebral palsy, was acquitted of all charges against him following the release of body cam footage on Thursday, where two Phoenix cops can be seen punching and tackling him at a parking lot.

City leaders are responding to allegations that Phoenix Police officers used excessive force while arresting Tyron McAlpin, who is deaf.

The man, Tyron Scott McAlpin, who also has cerebral palsy, was repeatedly punched and shocked with a Taser by the police during an arrest in August. The arrest is under investigation.
