Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind the Titanfall series and Apex Legends, is the latest major gaming company to announce layoffs. The company is laying off an unspecified number of employees as it narrows its focus to the future of Apex Legends and the Star Wars Jedi franchises.

In a statement, the developer says it is making “adjustments” to its Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi teams, the latter of which is currently working on a follow-up to 2023’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The developer has also ceased development of two “early-stage incubation projects.”

IGN reports that about 100 employees at Respawn were laid off, including developers, QA workers, and publishing staffers. IGN also says that some workers were moved from Respawn over to EA Motive’s Iron Man game, the Battlefield series, “and other projects.”
