FRISCO, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys claimed they were going to take "the best player on the board" with the 12th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they decided to fill a need along their offensive line with the selection of Alabama Crimson Tide All-American guard Tyler Booker. There was an instant connection between Booker and the Cowboys.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the team considered trading out of the 12th pick in Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday. Dallas exhausted all possibilities but, in the end, decided to stand pat and select Alabama guard Tyler Booker.

After the first round of the NFL draft was completed late Thursday, the Cowboys leaders met with the media and talked about Tyler Booker.
