West Bengal Chief Secretary urged junior doctors to end their hunger strike after fulfilling seven of their ten demands. Despite meetings with senior doctors' associations and state officials, WBJDF continued protesting for justice for a murdered colleague.

The hunger strike will be spearheaded by the IMA Junior Doctors' Network and Media Student Network in solidarity with protesting West Bengal junior doctors. The IMA has also urged the West Bengal govt to accept their demands.

West Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Pant has scheduled a meeting with doctors associations to address the ongoing junior doctor protests. Junior doctors demand the replacement of the state health secretary among other issues.
