Three citizenship ceremonies NPR attended in the Washington, D.C. area in January were largely celebratory experiences, despite a year of hurdles and changes to the naturalization process.

The new £2.8m Shannon class lifeboat will replace the Skye station's 30-year-old vessel.

The ceremony started out with a tribute video narrated by Scottie Pippen, one of the four other Bulls players whose numbers have been retired by the franchise. Taj Gibson and Luol Deng gave speeches in their former Bulls teammate's honor. Former Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau joined in on the ceremony with his own tribute to Rose.
