In honor of Roberto Clemente Day, the New York Mets will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night presented by Coors Light on Tuesday, September 16 at Citi Field, when they take on the San Diego Padres at 7:10 p.

Heroes of summers past for Flushing faithful will all band together for a matchup at Citi Field later this month. The New York Mets announced earlier this year that its alumni game would be returning to Queens after a three-year hiatus.

If you thought Citi Field was just for hot dogs and home runs, think again. On Thursday, August 28, when the Mets face off against the Miami Marlins, the stadium will double as a borough-wide block party celebrating the food, music and culture that make Queens the “World’s Borough.”

The game will be dedicated to Robinson Canó, one of the most popular players known for his support of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (Lidom), the Caribbean Series, and the World Baseball Classic. A special farewell ceremony will be held for him at the famous New York baseball stadium.
