The social media platform X began returning to Brazil on Wednesday, after remaining inaccessible for more than a month due to a clash between its owner, Elon Musk, and a justice on the country’s highest court.

This is per BBC News, which reports that Brazilian authorities issued an order to return Twitter to the country’s servers on Tuesday, after Musk and Twitter reportedly agreed to the court’s demands to block several accounts accused of spreading misinformation during the country’s last presidential election.

X had been banned in Brazil since the end of August after Elon Musk defied court orders to ban accounts and police misinformation.

A Brazilian Supreme Court justice banned X in the country after Elon Musk refused to pay a fine and shut down some accounts.

After weeks of Musk challenging Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Moraes, X's Global Affairs account posted a statement saying they intended to act “within the boundaries of the law.”

The Brazilian Supreme Court’s Justice Alexandre de Moraes on Tuesday authorized the restoration of social media platform X´s service in Brazil, over a month after its nationwide shutdown, according to a statement posted on the court’s website.
