Peak fall foliage season is here in Southwestern Pennsylvania. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' weekly fall foliage report, consistently cold nights and cool days have led to colors blossoming across Pennsylvania,

North of the Lehigh Valley, in Carbon and Monroe counties, leaves are also experiencing best color, according to the DCNR. All species are at peak color, and oak color has recently developed in Monroe County, the report states. Red maples, black gum and sweet birch are at full color in Carbon County, the DCNR said.
