Here is the May Social Security payment schedule for retirement, disability and survivor beneficiaries, as well as those who receive Supplemental Security Income.

If you're eligible to receive SSI benefits, you will get two payments in the month of May: one on May 1, the other on May 30. SSI payments go out on day one of any given month, but since June 1 falls on a weekend, that month's payment will come early, on May 30.

Because of the calendar, Social Security recipients who get Supplemental Security Income benefits get two checks in May, but no check in June.
