Electronic Arts Inc. is laying off hundreds of workers and canceling a Titanfall game that was in development at its Respawn Entertainment subsidiary. Between 300 and 400 positions were eliminated, including around 100 at Respawn,

Bloomberg's report indicated that one project was canceled earlier in the year, with the other described as a multiplayer extraction shooter set in the Titanfall universe. It's unclear how far along the game was in development, but according to Bloomberg, it was nowhere close to being released.

Beloved video game publisher Electronic Arts canceled its upcoming Titanfall game and fired over 300 employees today. A third of the cuts, Variety reports, came from EA’s developer Respawn, the makers of the popular Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi series.
