University of Southern Mississippi (USM) head football coach Will Hall has been fired. Southern Miss Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain announced on Sunday that the university would be moving in a new direction with its football program.

Will Hall leaves USM after three-plus seasons, having posted the worst winning percentage among coaches to have led the Golden Eagles’ football program.

"We are grateful to Will and his family for their dedication to Southern Miss over the past four years," athletic director Jeremy McClain said in a statement. "Will poured his heart and soul into this program and into shaping these young men.
