President Donald Trump arrived at Yankee Stadium Thursday and addressed the New York Yankees on the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Former New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo formally announced his retirement early on Wednesday. The three-time All-Star spent three and a half seasons with the Yankees from 2021-2024. Following his announcement, the Yankees took to social media to congratulate the fan favorite first baseman on his retirement.

President Donald Trump plans to attend a Yankees game in the Bronx on Sept. 11, the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to the New York Post. The report adds that Vice President J.D. Vance will be at the commemoration ceremony at Ground Zero in Manhattan while Trump will attend a memorial event at the Pentagon.
