Kishor had been sitting on fast-unto-death at Gandhi Maidan since January 2, demanding a re-test of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination prelims. He was produced before a court after being detained in the early hours of Monday, and sent to judicial custody after he refused to agree to the conditions of his bail.

Prashant Kishor, in solidarity with other protesting students, was sitting on hunger strike to press for the demand for cancellation of the integrated 70th combined (preliminary) competitive test conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on December 13.

The supporters of Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishore clashed with Patna police after cops detained Kishor who was on an indefinite hunger strike in support of BPSC aspirants.

The police took him to Patna AIIMS for a medical examination, news agency PTI reported, citing supporters of Kishor.

Kishor was sitting a hunger strike since Thursday to press for the cancellation of the integrated 70th combined (preliminary) competitive test conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on December 13.
