Traffic movement in Delhi's eastern parts is expected to be heavy till 1 pm on Sunday due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration of the 13-kilometre Delhi section of the Namo Bharat corridor.

The inauguration of the Namo Bharat corridor by PM Modi, which is expected to take place around 11 am, will lead to heavy traffic in certain areas.

Traffic in North West Delhi will be restricted on January 3, 2025, from 9 AM to 4 PM for a VVIP visit. Major roads like Mall Road, GTK Road, and Mahatma Gandhi Marg will be affected. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

PM Modi will inaugurate four projects in Delhi today, due to which barricading and traffic restrictions have been put in place on multiple routes.

To ensure safety and manage the crowds, nearly 20,000 police and paramilitary personnel will be deployed across the city.

The Delhi Pioice restrictions will affect traffic in areas such as Azadpur, Model Town, Kingsway Camp, Gujranwala Town, Derawal Nagar, Swabhiman Apartment and Ramleela Ground in Ashok Vihar. Residents travelling to these areas are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and keep extra time for their commute.
