The logo isn't perfect and the name has issues, but the support for Portland's WNBA franchise was overwhelming on the day the Fire officially launched.
The WNBA's return to Portland has been years in the making, but there are several more steps that the team will need to take before its debut in 2026.

Four people who lived in the east Portland apartment complex told The Oregonian/OregonLive that a man who also lived in the 3-story building threw a Molotov cocktail into the complex Friday morning. The blaze quickly engulfed the building.
According to Portland Fire & Rescue, crews are fighting the fourth-alarm fire at the apartment near NE 104th Avenue and East Burnside Street.
