Jurors convicted a Southern California judge of second-degree murder on Tuesday for fatally shooting his wife while the couple argued and watched television at home.

The conviction marks a shocking downfall for Jeffrey Ferguson, 74, who spent decades in the Orange County law enforcement community as both a prosecutor and a judge.

We believed all along there was sufficient evidence...to prove this was a murder," said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer
