All post offices will be closed and regular mail delivery will be suspended on Jan. 9 in honor of Carter. But some packages may still be delivered by the USPS.

“The Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery, retail services and office activity on Jan. 9,” the postal service said in a statement posted to its website. “There will be limited package delivery service that day to ensure the organization does not experience any negative impacts to its package delivery operations.”
