Intense aurora borealis streaked Wyoming’s night sky red
As a powerful solar storm painted brilliant hues across Wyoming skies, people went searching for the perfect backdrop to catch the epic light show. Even backyards, streets and alleyways offered stunning views of the northern lights.
People across the state saw the amazing Aurora Borealis — also known as the Northern Lights — in the sky Tuesday evening.
Scientists have said previously the best time to catch a glimpse of the aurora is usually between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. in a location away from city lights.
The Aurora Borealis dazzled on Tuesday and Wednesday as this phenomenon could be seen through out Idaho, but it really popped at Red Fish Lake near Stanley.
