Whooping cough has been surging in the United States for months and the latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggests there are no signs of slowing.

Case of whooping cough also known as pertussis, has spiked dramatically according to the latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The cases have alarmingly surged this year and reached the highest annual total in a decade.

Doctors across the country are reporting spikes in whooping cough cases this year, with figures at a 10-year high. In New Hampshire, there has been an increase from the last few years,but experts said it's actually a move back toward pre-pandemic numbers.
