Just three days after winning the Qatar Open in Doha, third-seeded Andrey Rublev was ousted in first-round action at the Dubai Championships by qualifier Quentin Halys in three sets on Tuesday.

Andrey Rublev credited his mental approach after beating Jack Draper 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 to win the Qatar Open for the second time.

Halys suffered a tight loss in the first round in Doha last week. He kept his composure against Rublev and notched his first top-10 victory. Quentin also celebrated his first ATP

Jack Draper fell at the final hurdle at the Qatar Open as he was beaten in three sets by Andrey Rublev. The Briton went down 7-5 5-7 6-1 in final to the fifth seed as a concerted fightback eventually came up short in Doha as the 27-year-old Russian claimed the title for a second time.
