Call of Duty on Steam has lost all the players it gained with Black Ops 6's launch over the course of one month.

Black Ops 6 reportedly cost Activision $700 million to develop, with Black Ops 3 and Modern Warfare 2019's budgets also revealed via court documents.

In a new report from Game File, journalist Stephen Totilo has shared the budgets of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Modern Warfare (the 2019 one), and Black Ops Cold War, all of which have reportedly been revealed by Activision's head of creative for Call of Duty, Patrick Kelly, in a court filing.

By December, however, almost all of those gains were erased, with 145,000 players lost. Despite breaking records with a +85.6% surge in average player counts in November, the momentum didn’t last long, as the game has been plagued with continued issues.
