Josef Meinzer was arrested in Granite Bay for the alleged murder of his mother and brother; he surrendered to police after a standoff.

Placer County coroner’s officials have identified two victims killed in a double homicide in Granite Bay earlier this week as the mother and brother of the suspect, a spokeswoman said.

The Placer County Sheriff's Office identified the man arrested after deputies found two people dead inside a Granite Bay home.Josef Meinzer, 36, is believed to have been behind the homicides, the sheriff's office said.
