Milton Williams is a big man with a big contract, and he has big plans for the New England Patriots defense. The Patriots introduced the defensive lineman to New England on Thursday, as the team welcomed in four of its signings from the first week of NFL free agency.

Milton Williams wasn't a starter with the Eagles. That admission motivates the defensive tackle, who jumps from rotational player with the Eagles to the top player on the depth chart with the Patriots.

He’s a journeyman run stuffer, now on his fourth team in five years. Tonga is expected to back up fellow free-agent addition Milton Williams and Christian Barmore (pending Barmore’s recovery from blood clots). Even though his playing time may be limited, the 28-year-old said Friday he’s excited to join a talented duo.
