In the whirlwind world of morning television, changes in the anchor chair are always headline-worthy, but Hoda Kotb's recent decision to leave the Today show didn't come as a shock to her co-anchor, Savannah Guthrie.

NBC staffers suspected Savannah Guthrie was planning her own exit from “Today” — but got “scooped” by Hoda Kotb’s resignation.

Kotb first joined NBC as a correspondent back in 1998. She became a co-anchor of the 10 a.m. hour alongside Kathie-Lee Gifford in 2008, with the show dubbed “Today with Kathie-Lee and Hoda.”
