It is possible, but the chances of the northern lights putting on another show in the continental United States are low, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Millions of Americans will have another chance to view the northern lights tonight, as well as the Taurid meteor shower.
Experts at NOAA recommend prospective aurora viewers travel north, towards the Earth’s magnetic north pole. They should position themselves on a vantage point with a clear view towards the north, and away from bright city lights. The aurora is most active in the hours around midnight, so viewers should plan to watch between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Sky watchers across New England and much of the United States were treated to a rare show of the northern lights Tuesday night with vaulting aurora illuminating skies from Boston to Boise.
