Someone shot a dog in Gastonia earlier this week and a police officer and neighbor quickly got the canine to an animal clinic saving his life.

Officer Matthew Whisnant saved an injured dog, Paco, after it was shot and immediately transported it to a clinic.

Gastonia Police Officer Whisnant quickly took the dog into his patrol vehicle and rushed him over to the vet clinic.
