Darian DeVries was introduced as Indiana's new head basketball coach on Wednesday, and the Hoosiers are expecting another piece of good news soon. On the day his father took the Indiana job, West Virginia's Tucker DeVries entered the transfer portal and is now expected to also wind up at Indiana.

Brad Stevens wasn’t coming to save IU basketball, which means Indiana AD Scott Dolson needed another hero. And Darian DeVries looks great in a cape.

Make no mistake, though, DeVries’ message was the same. He spent six seasons as Drake’s head coach, leading the Bulldogs to more 20-win seasons in DeVries’ tenure than the program had in its entire history, two regular-season Missouri Valley Conference titles and back-to-back league tournament championships before taking the West Virginia job.
