A Costly Oil Consumption Problem : r/Volvo - Reddit
Jun 15, 2022 · The 2012 S60 has the same problem. It's not just the 2013 up. I've had major oil consumption issues but I do my own maintenance and I don't take it to a dealer. I don't feel like being reamed by a dealer and have to driver 50+ miles just to have a Volvo dealer do maintenance. Volvo probably won't help in my case.

Dec 22, 2022 · i drop off my xc90 at late afternoon, took a rental car, and 2nd day in the morning, they called me back to pick it up. from the volvo app history, i saw my car only stayed inside their workshop for less 30m. and they drove 2 miles to test and make sure everything is ok. i guess its common enough so they dont need to do troubleshooting at all.

Apr 9, 2023 · Unfortunately, there aren't many other luxury hybrids to compare to, but still, Volvo is so far behind these mainstream brands. It feels like Volvo's hybrid engine is barely as efficient as the above non-hybrid versions. In addition, the Volvo requires premium fuel. Overall, doesn't lead to much in terms of cost savings.

is there any volvo's with a manual transmission? : r/Volvo - Reddit
As for a fun cheap project get a volvo 740/940 turbo. 760/780/240 are also good options if they have the turbo engine. 1990+ is the better years for mods, 1992.5+ is the best. Easy to work on, easy to get mild power gains from, rear wheel drive with factory locker, tough body, usually leather interior, automatic transmission can take quite a ...
Reliability of the NA 2.4? : r/Volvo - Reddit
Aug 18, 2018 · Engine oil should absolutely NOT be done every 12k miles. Try about half that, 5-7k if using synthetic, 10k at the absolute worst but its not recommended. The Volvo interval was 7.5k with synthetic. Maybe you meant kilometers? Timing belt interval on my '01 NA is 105k, it increased in later years but no harm in planning on every 100k.
How many miles is too many miles? : r/Volvo - Reddit
Sep 8, 2023 · This won’t necessarily show up on a PPI (mine didn’t) so you will need to check the vin and make sure the car was manufactured either after Volvo changed the faulty pistons or see if the previous owner had the pistons replaced preemptively. I ended up getting a full refund from the dealer (not a volvo dealer) and went with a 2019 xc60 after ...
