It’s opening day in South Dakota for pheasant season and it’s become one of the greatest traditions I’ve been a part of. My dad has gone for over 30 years, my brother and I started when we were older, and now our sons go with us. AND once a year we walk the fields with the South Dakota crackshot locals who’ve become just as much family over all this time.
