Heel spurs are reactive bone formations that develop as the plantar fascia and the calcaneus are under tensile stress. Heel spurs form where the plantar fascia connects to the heel bone. These bony protrusions grow towards the plantar fascia, often forming a hook-like shape. | East Coast Podiatry
